These amplifiers are extremely quiet, in fact Ultrasound had to build in a pilot light so you can tell its really turned on! The replication of acoustic instrument tone is excellent. These amplifiers will produce a delightfully rich, dark, jazzy tone with volumes comparable to other 30W, 50W, 100W and 200W amplifiers. Note that I have used these amplifiers on a number of gigs. They sound terrific and are suitable with both Magnetic and Acoustic Pickups! Plenty of 'bottom end' with very tasteful high frequencies. Many comments from band members and audience with regard to the great on-board effects unit and smooth sound. The AG50 DS3 model now offers the long-awaited convenience of dual input, along with stereo output and Alesis 16 program chip reverb.Instrument Vocal channels make this amp perfect for solo and duo gigs as well as a dynamite practice amp.
The New DS3 allows either 1/4" or XLR inputs into either channel! Built in effects can be applied to either channel simultaneously. A simple 'shorting' type foot pedal may be attached to activate/deactivate the effects.
