A quick note about Eastman El Rey instruments. This small archtop is my favorite guitar and I use mine on almost every gig I play. You may have heard that El Rey's are a bit neck heavy, which is true. All of our J Hale Custom El Rey's have been carefully counter-balanced to eliminate any issues with neck heaviness. This technique adds a few ounces to the overall weight of the instrument and has no effect on playability whatsoever. If you already have an El Rey and would like to have it balanced please contact us. This is a terrific instrument and a real pleasure to play, check them out below.
