gypsy guitars to the market place. J. Hale is proud to be able to offer
to you the
first
guitars
from this union.
The two models offered are the Samois GTD8000 and the Le Grand GTD8100.
“ The Samois”: Named in honor of Django’s spiritual
home, this guitar is designed for the Gypsy Jazz player seeking new
levels of expression. A lead instrument that delivers the signature
gypsy sound backed up with the rhythm punch that Freddie Green made
so famous. The Samois effortlessly takes the player from the banks
of the Seine to the bandstands of America.. Stylish gypsy looks are
underpinned with Draleon’s signature X-braced, hand carved all
solid spruce top and triple A flamed maple back and sides. A comfortable,
easy to play 25” scale length on a three ply maple neck is finished
with a solid ebony fingerboard. Available exclusively only in Blonde
with maple wood binding and deco ebony fittings.
“ Le Grand”: The ultimate gypsy jazz rhythm machine. Styled
exactly like the “Samois” above but with wider sides to
increase the volume of air inside the sound chamber of the guitar.
Le Grand’s X braced top provides crisp attack, great projection,
and a warm round tone, simply perfect for effortless rhythm. This ease
of playing coupled with a comfortable 25” scale allows the rhythm
player to comp with ease for hours. Don’t worry if you need to
take a solo from the first note you will immediately have the attention
of your fellow musicians. Available exclusively in Draleon’s
unbelieveable cherry redburst finish this might be one of the most
